5 Ways to get involved in Social Impact at UNSW

What impact will you make during your time at University?

As a UNSW Student, you have access to many initiatives on-campus that allow you to make a difference to people through non-for profit organisations. The dozens of programs and initiatives available gives you the freedom to contribute to what you are the most passionate about. Not sure where to start? There are 5 ways to get involved:

1. 180 Degrees Consulting UNSW

180 Degrees Consulting is the world's largest volunteer consultancy. Our university-based Consultants and Project Leaders work in teams to conduct analysis and create innovative solutions to help clients achieve strategic and operational goals. Keep an eye out for our application dates during Term 1 and Term 2.

2. The Social Impact Hub

The Social Impact Hub works with industry, social enterprise, non-for-profits and foundations to develop and conduct projects in different areas of social impact. For students, they run an experimental learning program as an academic course. Keep an eye out for COMM3030 to achieve real social impact while earning course credit.

3. Enactus

Enactus is a non-for profit organisation with the goal to enable entrepreneurship through action. Students collaborate with leaders in business and academia by taking entrepreneurial action to develop social enterprise projects. Keep an eye out for their recruitment dates for project teams.

4. Volunteer Army

Volunteer Army connects students to many volunteer opportunities through their partnership with a large amount of charities and non-for-profits. Volunteer for 20 hours and you can have your volunteer work recognised on your AHEGS. Keep an eye our for opportunities to volunteer at events such as Daffodil Day that help raise awareness of certain issues.
